Made For Walking

I used to wear heels all the time. I've been 5'10" probably since about 7th grade, and I didn't care that I already had height. When it came to heels, the taller the better. I didn't wear them all the time, but definitely any occasion I could get away with it, I would.
I've since wised-up, and realized they're not great for my feet, and let's be honest, anyone who says they're comfortable is lying.

As we get older, I find that we tend to simplify our lives. Comfort becomes a priority in how we dress, when we insist on moving every single year we take stock and wonder if we really need that lamp we found in our grandma's basement, or that rock collection from when we were 7. We tend to weed out the friends who bring a lot of drama and headaches. We only go to the events we really want to go to because our time is precious. Literally and figuratively, we carry less, and we make sure that we move about our day with as much ease as possible. And at least for me, that can't be done in 4 inch stilettos.

Having said all that, THESE shoes were made for walking. I've never worn a more comfortable pair of heels. I still wouldn't suggest running a marathon, 'cause there's still the whole ankle-breaking issue. But all day at the office? Done. Out with the girls or for date night? Done and done. It's weird how comfortable they are. But trust me, worth every penny. (And this is not a sponsored post, I just really like them that much).
